As Christian apologetic we take the presupposition on the inerrancy of the Bible and truth must be tested against the Word of God, the plumb line with which all knowledge and wisdom must be tested. As the Scripture states:
2 Timothy 3:16-1716 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,17 that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.
2 Peter 1:20-2120 knowing this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture comes from someone's own interpretation.21 For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.
Often when the Islamic scripture contradicts the bible, Muslims are quick to defend Islam by a simple unsubstantiated reason that the bible is corrupted by man although they are unable to say why and where there is corruption. The irony is that the Qur'an unequivocally confirms the integrity and reliability of the Bible.
